Tiffany Gunaratne of Randall Manor passed away on July 22, 2006.

Cherished daughter of Ajantha and Surangani (Sue). Loving sister of Sandra, Christopher and Alysia.

Tiffany was the third of four children and the center of love, she was always happy never got her
self to bordem, Tiffany liked to occupy herself with her own art projects and playing with her
little sister, her favorites were playing with the babie dolls and playing pet shop or playing
school, she always chose to be the teacher and enjoyed that part and she mentioned to her mom that
oneday she wanted to become a teacher though she was curious to find out what job paid the most.

Tiffany loved helping around the house she enjoyed doing little chores for her mom. Tiffany was a
gentle soul very loving, kind, caring, beautiful, smart, talented, artistic and she also loved
nature and the animals in it.

Tiffany attended reacently closed St.Pauls school of Staten Island New York, she was an outstanding
student with straight A's. Her teacher's loved her, she was not satisfied unless she got
90 or above on her tests.

Tiffany celebrated her b'day on July14th actually she celebrated three days in a row including
going to the beach on the 16th which was one of her wishes......just three days after On that
fateful day of July 17th 2006 she just woke up in the morning and told her father that she was going
to take the little poodle out to the front yard.A stray that was found in front of the house three
months ago. The mom did not have the heart to drop the dog off at a shelter since he was at a very
bad state of health fearing he would be put to sleep. After she brought him back to life she was
looking for a home for the little poodle though Tiffany constantly nagged her mom to keep it. Next
nobody knows what happened ................

Tiffany's intent was to save the poodle that ran to the street, only to get hit herself by the
car while standing on the sidewalk. The lady who drove the car said she never saw Tiffany she only
saw the dog and swerved the car to avoid the dog but did not know she had hit Tiffany. She was
critically injured and kept in a drug induced coma for the next 5 days. The doctors and the staff at
the hospital were trying to tell Tiffany's parents that there is nothing they could do for her,
which is the worst thing that any parent could ever want to hear and they should consider organ
donation. Though they finally agreed to after a long, agonising and painful week, they were
devastated to the fact that they couldn't take their daughter home.

Tiffany was a beautiful child inside and out. As mentioned she loved animals, loved
drawing, and loved life. She celebrated her birthday on July 14th her parents granted all her wishes
and she was very happy.

We miss you so very much Tiffany, fly with the angels little one.

Always in our hearts

Tiffany,
I think that the only way to deal with losing someone who is as beautiful, generous, and loving as you is to keep your spirit alive in all of our hearts. I wish I had gotten to spend more time with you, because your family and friends were blessed to have known you. You'll always be with us.

Still with us

I remember a night when Tiffany was in the hospital and in medical terms, hope was gone. Her cousin said, "I believe she is still with us."

I never met Tiffany and yet she is still with me.

I think of her at Snug Harbor when I walk by the butterfly bush and sometimes I think of her for no reason at all, and that's because the stories I heard of her were so vivid:

The way she loved animals, anticipated her birthday, went to the window with a handful of pencils to complete her own creative projects and jumped up into her uncles' arms when she greeted them-- all of these reminded me of what it was like to be nine.

Tiffany was beautiful and innocent and radiant, she was funny and adventurous. I know this from her photographs and her drawings, and the stories people told me.

The profound imprint that Tiffany left is a signal of the strength of her spirit and the love her family and friends, her teachers and neighbors all have for her.

In years to come, I hope that those remembrances will bring comfort and even joy to you. I know that Tiffany is still with you.

Always remember what Msgr. Bartley says at every funeral, "Our loved ones are more powerful for is in death". Little Tiffany guides us every day in our everyday lives... What better blessing can we ask for? Happy Valentine's Day!

Guide us and protect us.

Tiffany..God sent your family to me because He might have felt that I could help them. Coincidentally, I have a very soft spot for Angels, and when your mother showed me a picture of you, I couldn't help but notice the wings behind you. I pray everyday to "the angels in heaven and here on earth, to guide us and protect us." Since I see you as an angel, I am asking you to speak to God for me, and have Him give me the wisdom to help your family understand what His divine plan may be. I know you know more than I do at this time. I pray that you may tug on God's robe and whisper this special prayer in His ear. Say "hello" to the rest of the Angels for me!
God Bless,
Your friend,
Bill

We miss you so very much...

Dearest Nanga Tiffany,
Its been about 6 months since you were taken away, yet it all seems like yesterday...

yesterday...when you would smile - the smile that was innocent and sincere, full of love and compassion
yesterday...when you offered to help - as little as you may be, you were always there with your eagerness to help, so much to give, what a beautiful heart
yesterday...when you greeted us with your loving siblings, and welcomed anybody and everybody with such beautiful grace
yesterday...when you were running around, helping your Ammi or taking a walk with Thathi
yesterday...when you would try to hide your little giggle, that we all so well remember
yesterday...you left an everlasting mark in all our lives, no wonder we all miss you....more than words can ever say.
Today we carry your smile, the innocence, the beautiful mind.....we will always remember you
May you attain nibbana little sister.

Sanjeewa (Cousin) January 24, 2007
